I love this time of year, playoff hockey, sunny weather, not a cloud in sight just clear skies but it all gets ruined with work tonight boooo! I really dislike my job but the way I see it is I'm damn lucky to have one period. Watching the NHL playoffs just makes me realize how much I regret quitting hockey when I was younger, I was 16 and getting scouted by 20 year old traveling teams I could have been there getting paid for something that I love. I've miss playing hockey for a while now I miss driving to the rink listening to the same song to get me pumped up telling myself over and over in my head "your gonna score, your gonna win, your gonna play your heart out" I was always nervous stepping out on the ice but once I got my legs going no one could stop me. My last season I played I had 23 points 14 goals and 9 assists in just 8 games I've always believed that you have to believe that you're the best at something whether it be hockey or basketball or just anything in life you have to have that mentality that all eyes are on you and you are the definition of greatness thats the way I was every game. Once I had that puck on my stick no one could stop me and man I miss that feeling of putting the puck behind the net and watching the goalie put his head down in disgust. I loved getting underneath peoples skin as well and getting them off their game thats probably why I was such an asshole in high school haha but really theres no greater feeling in the world than lacing up your skates, hearing the music in the arena, the crowd screaming, and skating out there on the greatest stage in the world.
